Hi Hank,

I have but I actually like the Peter Reinhart bread better. I wasn't happy with the texture of the bread. My neighbor lent me both those books. You should try my bread recipe (click on "bread" category) You start it the night before then knead for 10 min that day before baking so I find it pretty easy to fit in. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm always on the Fresh Loaf blog wanting to try new breads but my family loves this sandwich bread so that's what I have to keep making. Someday I'll bake for me. ;p

Have you experimented with the no-knead bread recipes found in "Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day" and "Healthy Bread in 5 Minutes a Day" by Hertzberg and Francois? Really cool books. The first one doesn't have whole wheat recipes, but the second one is chocked full of them. I'd get the free recipe they did in Mother Earth News before buying the book to see if you like it:).
