Last weekend I deleted the pictures I took of the finished chicken coop before posting. I’m trying not to do that this time…

Since we’ve had the longest patch of dry weather I can recall I have left the cardboard box that used to house the chicks in the run with them. This gives them somewhere they can quickly duck into if the dog decides to rush the coop or a cold wind comes up. They’ve been using it as a landing pad to jump down onto and up onto. So far they haven’t been fond of the ramp. I have, however, caught them finally using the dowels inside.
They seem to have a huge sense of relief when I finally shoo them all into the coop at night. They snuggle right in and start grooming. I’m hoping they get to the point where they go in the coop by themselves soon.
