Hi, I was just catching up on some posts I've missed here and I thought this was such a sweet honest post. So many people are new to gardening and excited but somewhat overwhelmed. I started gardening 11 years ago, and before I found seattle tilth, I had no idea that growing sesame and coffee in seattle wasn't worth my while. Now I have a flourishing garden full of all kinds of wonderful food. Plants want to grow and reproduce, just pay attention to them, learn from your mistakes and you'll be growing all kinds of your own food in no time at all! Best of luck to you!

Hang in there. We are going through the same slow process. My type-A-ness is a help as I develop a new way to organize and structure our lives. For now, some days "conscious" is good enough. The little changes we are making will start to add up in time.
